Voice Recorder, made simple
Capture an idea, a reading or a quick voice note with your device microphone. The recorder only requests microphone access when you press Start recording. Once stopped, you can listen to the recording and choose an output format.

Where is my recording saved?
It remains in this browser tab until you download it. Closing or reloading the tab discards the recording.
Can I pause the recording?
Yes. Pause stops capturing audio into the recording, and Resume continues it.
Why is the microphone unavailable?
Use HTTPS or localhost, allow browser microphone permissions and check that a microphone is connected.
Which browsers and files are supported?
Use a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Common MP3 and WAV files work best; other formats depend on browser and codec support. Source audio is limited to 50 MB in total, video to 150 MB / 6 minutes, and decoded audio to 32 million samples. Large files may exceed available device memory. The first MP3 export or video extraction downloads an approximately 32 MB processing engine.
